Main Role
- The project team has a main duty to provide structured programmes of development for local young people with mild and moderate learning difficulties which meets the needs of the group, the individual participants and the aims of the funded programme.

Essential

Qualifications
Full driving licence
Some form of relevant Youth Work, Teaching, Group Leadership or Development Training qualification

Skills
Ability to communicate and engage with young people with mild and moderate learning difficulties
Ability to work within organisational policies and guidelines
Effective personal organisation
Good oral and written presentation skills
Ability to work with local communities and their members

Experience
A minimum of one year’s experience of working effectively with young people

Terms and Conditions:

Salary Scale Points: £19,500
Other Pay: N/A

Hours:
35 Hours per week Monday to Friday 9-5pm.

Holidays:
20 days leave plus 3 days between Christmas and New Year plus 8 statutory holidays, increasing by 1 day per year for 5 years.

Pension:
Subject to eligibility, the employee will be enrolled into our work place pension scheme in line with legislation unless they choose to opt out.

Based at:
North East Office

Probation
3 months probationary period

Travel requirements
This post is only required to travel to regional offices on rare occasions.

Travel Allowances:
Mileage is paid at 45p per mile
