Latest Updates & Impact

Dear Supporter,

Welcome to the first edition of Endeavour’s new newsletter. This special Winter Edition will be followed, from Spring 2024, with regular monthly updates.

We are proud to open this newsletter with the results of some impact reporting we recently undertook which clearly demonstrates that Endeavour consistently provides a positive impact on young people’s access to green space with significant benefits for young people’s mental and physical wellbeing:

As we approach winter, ensuring fair access to adventure and the outdoors becomes ever more expensive. Endeavour provides new outdoor clothing, pays for access to facilities like indoor climbing walls, has to provide lunches and cover transport costs. At the same time there are ever greater pressures on young people’s mental and physical health, more time indoors, dark nights, approaching Christmas pressures, etc, making our service even more crucial for the development and wellbeing of young people.

One small action you can do to help is send the Endeavour virtual Christmas Card.
This will not only help us raise funds to truly democratise adventure but also spread the word about the work Endeavour undertakes.

By buying and sharing this card you will both help us pay for those essential elements of our delivery we've outlined above but also help raise our profile. All of this will help us help young people reach their peak. Thanks!

Need a Christmas Walk? Here is Ed's (CEO) favourite route!

This fantastic and exciting walk starts at Surprise View car park, heading uphill past Mother Cap, to Owler Tor, before returning to the car park via a very adventurous path beneath Millstone Edge. There are fantastic views, rocks to be scrambled over and some interesting archaeology en route.  It is a short walk, which should comfortably take less than 2 hours, however, it is very uneven underfoot and occasionally exposed (so only set off on this if you are comfortable with that).  This web page has some photos, a description and gpx file for the walk: Click Here
