Rachel Stockton

Rachel has over 20 years experience working in the charity sector, both paid and voluntary. She has held a variety of different finance roles and also enjoyed a number of project and resource management roles. It's always been important to Rachel to know that her work is having a positive impact, even if she’s not directly supporting the people we are here for she knows that she is indirectly helping. Rachel loves the variety of her role as Director of Finance & Resources, not one day is the same which is sometimes unusual when working in finance!

At home Rachel likes to watch films with her husband and son - the more obscure the better and they all tend to be quite violent even though they're a very peaceful family, honestly! They've lived in Burngreave for 24 years and their son attended Firshill School, Parkwood Academy and Longley Park Sixth Form so it feels great to now be working locally instead of travelling to a different city. As a family they all have a shared passion for music, although they all like different styles. Rachel enjoys spending a lot of her free time DJ'ing hip-hop and house music and depending on the event she’s playing this has also covered funk, soul and disco - Rachel loves a singalong basically!
